Woodlake Lutheran Church is a member congregation of the Minneapolis Area Synodof the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

The congregation is located in Richfield, Minnesota--"Your urban hometown."

Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, is the nearest seminary of the ELCA, and has many resources available for members of the wider Christian community.

In 1973, Woodlake was one of the thirteen Richfield congregations which founded VEAP to help their neighbors in the community who are experiencing hardships. Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People serves residents of Richfield, Bloomington and Edina, plus a small portion of south Minneapolis. An emergency food pantry, VEAP`s original ministry, is now one of several programs administered on behalf of over fifty churches in our service area.
