Crosslake Lutheran Church
The continued growth of the congregation led to the decision in 1990 to build a new worship center connected to the Parish Hall. Construction was completed in November, 1991. Then, in 2001 the congregation voted to build a new Fellowship Hall and Kitchen, as well as remodel the existing Fellowship Hall into classrooms, and expand the Worship Center. The new Worship Center is large enough to hold 450 people, enabling us to hold one service instead of two (except for the summer season).
The music program at Crosslake Lutheran consists of an Adult Choir which averages 40-50 people and practices on Wednesday nights in the Worship Center.
Our Praise Group leads the congregation once a month and practices after the worship service each Sunday. The Bell Choir practices every Wednesday morning at 8:30 am in the church sanctuary. During the school year our Children's Choir sings periodically at the services and practices on Wednesday evenings at 6:15 pm. We always welcome new members to any of these special music groups!
An Adult Bible Study is held on Monday evenings at 6:00 pm and Wednesday mornings at 10:00 am. We currently have four circles which meet once a month.
Please call the church office for more information.
The Men's Group meets twice a month with one meeting being a work day at Camp Knutson. They also enjoy playing golf in the summer months and “500” in the winter months, along with preparing and serving the annual Easter Breakfast and decorating the outside of the church facility for Christmas.
The Jul Kaffe Fest Craft Workshop meets 9-1 pm every Monday in the parish hall. They work on craft projects for the annual Jul Kaffe Fest held in late September to raise monies for various programs. The Quilters also meet each Monday morning to assemble beautiful quilts for Camp Knutson, our annual Synod silent auction for World Hunger, Luther Crest Bible Camp, and other needs as they arise.
Prayer Partners meets twice a month to pray for each family unit of the congregation, as well as special needs people may be experiencing in their lives.
The Knit Wits meet each Wednesday to knit Prayer Shawls for people suffering with cancer and other diseases, praying for the victims as they knit.
Women of the ELCA meets eight times a year with special programs to serve its members and the community at large.
Diners’ Club meets for a period of 8 weeks to help members become better acquainted with each other.
Ministry With Youth happens for all grade levels – check it out on the Youth links.
All sorts of behind-the-scenes activities also take place through Church Council, Committees, and Task Forces, which involve a lot of people’s time, talents, and energies. These ministries are essential for the well-being and the liveliness of the congregation as we seek the common good of our congregation and community.
